The Faculty of Chemistry and Environment has a history that originated from the Chemistry Group of the Faculty of Chemistry - Biology and officially trained Bachelor of Chemistry since 1978. In 1981, the Faculty of Chemistry was established and became one of the first four specialized Faculties of Dalat University. The Faculty began training Master's in Analytical Chemistry from 1993 and Doctorate in Analytical Chemistry from 2015.
In 2000, to meet the human resource needs in the context of increasing environmental issues, Dalat University established the Environmental Studies Board, at the same time began to enroll students in Environmental Science. The Faculty of Environment was established in 2004 and then renamed the Faculty of Environment and Resources in 2014. From 2019, the Faculty of Chemistry and Environment was established on the basis of merging the Faculty of Chemistry and the Faculty of Environment and Resources. The Faculty has opened a bachelor's degree program in Environmental Engineering Technology in 2021 and a bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2022.
The function of the Faculty is to train undergraduate and postgraduate levels, conduct scientific research in the fields of Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Environmental Science.
