Boasting a rich historical pedigree in the realms of education and scientific inquiry, Dalat University received formal endorsement from the Ministry of Education and Training in 1993 to inaugurate a Master's program in Analytical Chemistry. Throughout the program's educational continuum, it has undergone systematic refinements and enhancements in consonance with societal and global exigencies, thereby fortifying its stature as a bastion of scientific prowess, modernity, practicality, adaptability, and contemporaneity. This overarching objective is geared towards affording students opportunities for the cultivation of professional acumen, the amplification of their creative faculties, and the cultivation of postgraduate efficacy.
Presently, the Master's program in Analytical Chemistry has been bifurcated into two principal axes: research and application. The program is meticulously structured to align with the CDIO output standards, with a view to nurturing erudite scholars who:
(i) Exhibit political and ethical sagacity, demonstrate foundational proficiency in political theory, evince a commitment to societal service and civic responsibility, adhere to the precepts of legality, and attain a proficiency level of 4/6 on the Vietnamese language proficiency scale.
(ii) Possess erudition and the ability to deploy foundational scientific knowledge, delve into profound theoretical edifices, and apply practical wisdom. They demonstrate adeptness in data analysis, synthesis, and scientific evaluation for the purpose of addressing conundrums within the domain of Analytical Chemistry. Furthermore, they actively supplement, modernize, and augment their knowledge pertaining to contemporary methodologies and analytical instrumentation.
(iii) Exhibit self-reliance in embarking upon autonomous scientific research endeavors. They acquire practical proficiencies that are commensurate with their educational echelons, facilitating the execution of research inquiries, experimental design, and pragmatic problem-solving within the realm of Analytical Chemistry and its cognate fields. Additionally, they orchestrate and oversee intricate tasks pertinent to specialized activities within the sphere of Analytical Chemistry.
(iv) Discern the pivotal import of Analytical Chemistry in the context of socioeconomic development. They manifest the capacity for critical analysis, independent labor, creativity, discovery, and problem resolution. Furthermore, they exhibit the wherewithal for self-directed research initiatives, offering innovative propositions and enhancements to extant practices. Adaptability to dynamic professional milieus, the ability to provide guidance and support to fellow researchers, and a penchant for continued learning at the doctoral level are integral facets of their aptitudes.
Graduates of the Master's program in Analytical Chemistry can undertake various roles after graduation, including teaching at universities, colleges, and high schools; conducting research in research institutions focusing on method development and application of Analytical Chemistry; managing research in chemical industry facilities, production facilities, chemical businesses, and equipment; working in analytical laboratories and managing data quality in laboratories as well as in production and technology following the ISO quality management system at companies, factories/plants, or research centers and institutes.
